From 16 to 19 October 2026 Sirmione hosted the first edition of the Lugana Festival, four days dedicated to Lugana DOC wine, promoted by the Municipality of Sirmione and the Lugana DOC Consortium. Talent Kitchen catered the opening of the festival: a finger food buffet designed to go with glasses of Lugana on the opening day.

An opening with institutional guests

The opening on Friday 16 October was attended by, among others, Senator Mariastella Gelmini, president of the Comunità del Garda, regional councillor Simona Tironi, the mayor of Sirmione Luisa Lavelli and the president of the Lugana DOC Consortium Fabio Zenato, as reported by Gardapost.

Our catering

For the opening we prepared a buffet of savoury shortcrust tartlets and finger food, finished on the spot with fresh microgreens: one-bite, standing-up food that never overpowers the wine. Our chefs plated live in front of the guests, alongside the Lugana service.

The Lugana Festival at a glance

Lugana DOC was established in 1967 and is produced in five municipalities across the provinces of Brescia and Verona: Sirmione, Desenzano del Garda, Lonato del Garda, Pozzolengo and Peschiera del Garda. The full programme was covered by BsNews and QdS.

Our bond with Lugana goes back a while: in 2024 we created and organised Sapori del Garda, the wine tasting festival in Sirmione's old town with wineries from Lugana and Valtènesi.
