Meet the producer: ONAV Brescia wine tasting evenings at Talent Kitchen

Incontro con il produttore (Meet the producer) is the series of tasting evenings born from the partnership between Talent Kitchen and ONAV Brescia, the Brescia section of the Italian National Organisation of Wine Tasters. The idea is simple: one evening, one winery. The producer brings their wines to our Food Hub at Via Colombare 49 in Sirmione and presents them in person, while the Talent Kitchen kitchen pairs every glass with local produce. So far we have held six evenings with six Garda wineries.

How an evening works

The producer in the room: the person who makes the wine leads the tasting, from vineyard to cellar, and answers questions directly.
A selection of wines: chosen by the winery to show its territory and style.
Local produce: snacks and small bites from our kitchen, designed to go with the wines being tasted.

Pasini San Giovanni

28 May 2024. Paolo Pasini presented six wines from Lugana and Valtènesi, including the rosé Lettera C, awarded Tre Bicchieri by Gambero Rosso and named Rosé of the Year in the Vini d'Italia 2023 guide, as reported on the ONAV event page.

Pratello

10 October 2024. The winery in Padenghe sul Garda, in the Valtènesi hills.

Costaripa

21 November 2024. One of the flagship wineries of Valtènesi and Chiaretto, in Moniga del Garda.

Montonale

13 December 2024. The Desenzano del Garda winery known for its Lugana wines.

What is ONAV?

ONAV is the Italian National Organisation of Wine Tasters, a non-profit founded in 1951 to train tasters and spread wine culture. The Brescia section runs courses and tasting evenings in the area.

How do I join an evening?

Evenings are announced by ONAV Brescia and Talent Kitchen. For the Pasini San Giovanni evening, for example, the fee included ONAV membership for the current year.
