GRAPE VARIETIES: Groppello Gentile 90%, Barbera 10%.
ORIGIN: BEANA vineyard in Moniga del Garda, 180 m above sea level. Limestone-clay soil on gentle foothills.
COLOUR: Bright red with ruby hues, turning garnet with age.
NOSE: Vinous and fragrant, with aromas reminiscent of roses, redcurrants and raspberries.
PALATE: Dry, savoury and well-knit, with a saline core and a light bitter-almond finish typical of the Groppello grape.
AGEING: Matured in oak barrels for one year, then aged for three months in bottle. Stored properly, it keeps for up to 4/5 years.
FOOD PAIRING: Pairs with pasta dishes and soups, red meats, grilled meats, cured meats and hard cheeses. Serve at 19 °C.
