For centuries, the mild climate and ideally suited soils have been the natural home of the area's most widespread red grapes, Corvina and Rondinella, to which a small percentage of Merlot is added, lending the wine a touch of fruity softness and greater harmony. Vinification and ageing take place exclusively in stainless steel, preserving the grapes' primary aromas for a pleasantly fruity fragrance and a lively, easy-going, carefree sip.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eZenato's Bardolino is made from grapes grown on the first hills overlooking Lake Garda. The Veronese shore is characterised by soils made up mainly of sand, gravel and silt of ancient glacial (moraine) origin. Thanks to sunny exposures and the gentle lake breezes, the grapes always ripen perfectly. They are fermented in stainless steel tanks with about ten days of skin maceration, and the wine then rests for a few months in steel before bottling. The result is a young, fragrant wine with a light ruby red colour. On the nose it releases \u003cstrong\u003edelicate floral notes and subtle aromas of red berries\u003c\/strong\u003e, cherry, redcurrant and wild strawberries. On the palate it is medium-bodied, nimble, slender and youthful, with very fine tannins.
